Low-cost magnetic powders have been synthesized by Headwaters Technology Innovation Group. These powders exhibit a strong magnetic susceptibility mainly due to magnetite formation. The potential applications for this product range from cancer treatment, ferrofluids, to adhesion promoters. The synthetic method, characterization(XRD, TEM, particle size analysis, magnetic susceptibility), and potential applications will be discussed in detail.
