Carbon–supported Pt materials still remain as reference electrocatalysts for the reactions in fuel cells [1]. Related to cost–performances carbon aerogel-supported Pt joins the catalytic properties of the Pt with attractive structural properties of the aerogels, such as low mass densities, high surface area, continuous porosity [2-4]. Mesoporous carbon aerogels were obtained by using sol-gel method followed by supercritical drying and nitrogen atmosphere pyrolysis. The carbon aerogel-supported Pt catalysts were prepared by a borohydride reduction method. The morpho-structural and electrochemical characteristics, as well as the catalytic activity for oxygen reduction of the carbon aerogel-supported Pt catalysts, in comparison with carbon black- and multi-wall carbon nanotube-supported Pt, were evaluated. Our results show that carbon aerogel support reduces catalyst loading through improving the catalyst activity performance. References [1] Z. Liu, Xing Y. Ling, X. Sua, J. Y. Lee., L. M.
