In the present work electrospinning of polycarbonate has been performed to produce nanofibers.Parameters like concentration, voltage, flow rate and distances were varied and an optimum condition of all the parameters was achieved to generate uniform ,smooth nanofibers with minimal bead densities. The spun fibers were characterized with the help of scanning electron microscope.Image processing was done with GAIA Blue software to find the fiber thickness and bead density values. Finally with DOE analysis ,concentration was found to be the most significant parameter to reach our goals.A 16% PC solution flowing at 0.01 ml/min with a voltage of 30kV,distance of 10 inches, temperature of 28degrees celcius and humidity around 32% was found a good optimization to reach our target.
