Our work report on the synthesis of a novel polyaniline-titania tubular composite at nanoscale. Significant new accomplishments relies on the synthesis of polyaniline-TiO2 composite nanotubes, as up to now most researchs in this field reported on nanoparticules or micron sized rods. Interest of the synthesis process is based upon an easy mechanochemical route to produce self assembled polyaniline-titania nanotubes. The functionalization of titania nanotubes by polymerization of aniline on the nanotubes walls both permits to enhance functionalized surface contact and improves dispersibility of the titania nanotubes. Characterization of the nanocomposite obtained is presented.
