New results of the plasma surface modification of fine-grained temperature sensitive particles are presented. Nanoparticles are deposited on larger substrate particles in a specially designed plasma chamber to improve the macroscopic powder properties as flowability or wettability. Depending on the used gas composition and monomer it is now possible to obtain powders with superior flow properties and good dissolution behavior in 0.1 s processing time, which makes this process very attractive for applications in the pharmaceutical and chemical industry.
