Nano-Organocatalysts: new magnetically retrievable tools for enantioselective synthesis

We report the elaboration of new organocatalyst functionalized superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles that can act as a new enantioselective organocatalyst. Differents organocatalysts are grafted using two different methodologies on a nanoplateform constituted of 10 nm maghemite (γFe2O3) nanoparticle stabilized by bidendate coating agent like bisphosphonate. We show that coupling is far more efficient using microwave assisted methodology .The evaluation of the catalytic efficiency of this new nano-organocatalyst towards enantioselective reactions such as for example aldolisation will be presented.
