A jettable inkjet ink containing dispersed inorganic semiconductor (ZnS:Mn) pigments has been prepared using colloidal synthesis. This ink was deposited using an inkjet printer to form printed lines of luminescent material. Different binder polymers were used to assist in assembly into a continuous film. Luminescent properties were characterized for the printed lines and films. This technology presents some unique advantages over solution-processed polymer semiconductors which encounter problems with jetting and broad emission spectra.
