In this work, a poly(alizarin red) (PAR)-carbon nanofiber (CNFs) composite film was fabricated via a well-controlled in situ electro-polymerization method. This composite film exhibited good sensing and catalytic ability to the electrochemical oxidation of nitric oxide (NO). The present work not only provided a more sensitive electrochemical method for the determination of NO, but also foresaw the promising applications of in situ electro-polymerization method in developing high-performance electrochemical microsensors.
