Owing to the presence of van der Waals’ forces, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have the propensity to aggregate together and form bundles, which considerably hinders their applications. In this paper, organic dyes were used to suspend CNTs by the formation of colloidal system and the attached dye molecules were then exfoliated from CNTs by thin layer chromatography (TLC), showing the reversible nature of the process.
