In this manuscript, there are some significant results summarized as follows: 1. The platelet graphite nanofiners (PGNFs)were continuously produced by a vertical chemical vapor deposition reactor. 2. A detailed study found that the sulfur concentration affected dramatically the morphology and microstructure of the carbon materials. 3. Characterizations of PGNFs were also studied. 4. The hydrogen uptake of 0.5wt% was achieved for the PGNFs. We believed that this materials can be used in hydrogen storage applications and this study is a worthy reference for both the fundamental research and practical applications.
