Keywords: , , ,

An annoying problem of chemotherapy was the drug resistance of cancer cell which was expression of multidrug-resistance associated proteins and resulted in ineffective treatment. To conquer this problem, a small interfering RNA (siRNA) molecule and paclitaxel (PTX) were used as gene and chemo-therapy drug to make drug resistance cancer cell sensitizing to chemotherapeutic drug. For achieving the mentioned objective, tri-block copolymer, polyethylene glycol-polycaprolactone-polyethylenimine (PEG-PCL-PEI) forming micelle was utilized to encapsulate the PTX in the core of micelle and to attract the siRNA on the corona of PEI in this study.
