This work presents a novel interdigital structures of branched carbon nanotubes on silicon-based membranes where the heavy overlapping between neighboring lines leads to a high capacitance. The value of the capacitance is so high (of the order of 10-20pF) where one can design an actuation and sensor combination on a single membrane. The fluctuation effects of the membrane using this configuration has been examined. Due to many small branches of carbon structures, the electron emission of these entities is also superior to that of normal CNTs. We have examined the emission behavior and presented an acutation-driven emission current with the proper interdigital structures.
