A specific polycationic polythiophene was discovered in order to identify dsDNA from ssDNA. The main properties of this new polymer are its conformational possibilities associated with photophysics modifications. This conjugated polymer is still subject to many studies to improve the reconnaissance capacities of genomic sequences. In the meantime many efforts have been made worldwide to develop and improve electrochemical DNA methods because of the possibility of making small portable devices. In spite of many progress and advances in this field, there is still a challenge to find new approaches in order to improve the cost, sensibility, selectivity and simplicity and to respond to new demands and needs in modern medical diagnostics and biomedical research applications. In attempt to develop a multi parametric biosensor with our polycationic polythiophene, we have synthesized a new cationic polythiophene bearing one ferrocene (Fc) group on each monomeric unit.
