Near-Field Electrodynamics of Atomically Doped Carbon Nanotubes

We have developed a quantum theory of near-field electrodynamical properties of carbon nanotubes. The theory was used to investigate spontaneous decay dynamics and van der Waals attraction of a single two-level atom close to a single-wall nanotube surface.
