Carbon Nanotubes have unique properties such as chemical stability, good mechanical properties and high surface area that makes them ideal for the design of sensors. In this study, we present the use of Carbon Nanotube for the design of biosensors. Both Carbon Nanotube arrays as well as carbon nanotube fibers are presented as platforms for the design of biosensors. Different functionalisation routes an the effect on the sensing properties are analysed. Finally, the development of a full sensing device including the wireless communication for long patient monitoring will be presented.
