Keywords: ,

Multifunctional polymeric nanoparticles with an average size of 200nm could be prepared using the solvent displacement technique. Cetyltriethylammonium bromide (CTAB) surface-modified poly(ethylene oxide)-modified poly(epsilon-caprolactone) (PEO-PCL) nanoparticles encapsulated PTX and siRNA with a loading efficiency > 95%. The multifunctional polymeric nanoparticles could successfully deliver siRNA and chemotherapeutic drug simultaneously to cancer cells to silence EGFR and enhance cell kill respectively
