Functional Multi-layered Bio-scaffold by 3D printed and Electro spun biodegradable materials

In paper, we are presenting a novel technology for the bio-scaffold fabrication. The fabricated scaffold is composed of 3 layers which include a 3D printed PLA in middle and electro spun nanofibers of PCL+Collagen on both sides. The fabricated 200µm scaffold showed high mechanical strength while it still provided a good cell growing environment with high surface to volume ratio. For the homogeneous and uniform nanofiber generation, process parameters such as applied voltage, concentration, flow rate and TCD were optimized.
