In this abstract, we describe a novel PEG-based, simple-to-fabricate, U-shaped micro-scale growth chamber, which allows cell trapping and forming into spheroids as well as culturing in the presence of a continuous perfusion flow, a long-term 3D cell culture can be achieved. We believe that it can provide a good platform for many liver spheroid-based studies and applications in the future.
