For efficient use of conductive polymers, such as Polyaniline (PANI) and Polypyrrole (PPy), in pseudocapacitors and other electrochemical applications, the poor conductivity of the conductive polymers is a major problem. To solve the problem, here we present a hierarchical ternary nanocomposite film composed of carbon nanofibers (CNFs)/surface grafted with carbon nanotubes (CNTs)/PANI.The PANI films supported by conductive CNT/CNF scaffolds were used to significantly enhance the electrochemical performance when used as electrodes of supercapacitors while very low electrical contact resistance during cycling. The unique structures and properties of these materials make them excellent candidates for use as electrodes in high-performance rechargeable energy-storage devices.
