The standard electrodes used in today’s energy storage devices contain a passive organic or polymeric binder. This material affects various electrochemical performance characteristics of an electrode and lowers power density, energy density, and reliability of an energy storage device. The Nanoramic CE binder-free platform is designed to overcome the limitations of traditional electrodes. This binder-less electrode has ultra-low ESR, high C-rate capabilities, impressive capacitance retention at extreme conditions, and is compatible with a broad range of electrolytes. The Nanoramic CE platform is engineered to boost the overall performance of energy storage systems, and it is suitable for a broad array of devices including Li- ion batteries, EDLCs, and Li-capacitors.
