8×8 carbon nanotube (CNT) arrays are integrated on top of the CMOS chip. The CNTs are functionalized to detect the target ions, and the I-V characteristics are altered by the bio-chemical reaction. The sensing circuit measures the charging time by the CNT-capacitance network over the valid bias range. The fabricated chip results show the good detection of the target.
