This study mainly involved the fabrication of n-eicosane/silica nanocomposite and modeling of combined thermodynamic/heat transfer based on the prepared composite structure and measured thermo-physical data. we performed combined thermodynamic/heat transfer analysis to obtain the total mass, thickness and temperature excursion as functions of percentage area of n-eicosane under given maximum energy and thermal flux. We discovered that the strong interaction between the n-eicosane and the silica skeleton exhibits novel phase change temperature management and energy utilization. The designer will know the maximum temperature excursion his component can sustain. By going to the curve for temperature excursion, he can find the minimum supporting area required to maintain the excursion below the maximum. Finally, the authors declare there are no conflicts of interest in the paper. Thank you very much for your consideration!
