Electrochemistry in nanopore/electrode structures – from pore fabrication to DNA sequencing-by-tunneling

,

Keywords: , , ,

I will present results from my research group on nanopore-based single-biomolecule sensor with particular focus on electrode/nanopore structures. To this end, electrochemical concepts can be used for fabrication purposes, as well as for increased temporal and spatial resolution in single-biomolecule sensing. An example is the integration of a functional tunneling junction into a nanopore device, paving the way to ultra-fast and label-free DNA sequencing-by-tunneling.
